An Evening in Arles

Well, i just got back from dinner in Arles. What i expected to quite normal turned out to be exceptional. What a night ! Arles is amazingly beautiful. Its drenched in history and culture. I dont need to say much excpet for check out the pictures in the next couple of posts. But then theres the case of the food i had for dinner tonight ! Oh my ! Oh my ! Its by far some of the best food i’ve ever eaten.

This was my menu for the night :

Apetiser or Mini starter : Caviar, Asparagus Surprise. I dont know what its called. Its cold, its green an dit tastes like heaven. I’m not a caviar or asparagus fan but whatever they did to this… it was breathtaking ! Lighty didnt quite enjoy his , so i finished it for him.

Starter : Mousse Cremee de Morwe, Vinaigrette de Betteraive au Paprika.
Creamy Cod Mousse, served with beet and Paprika. A bit on the salty side, but the amazing bottle of red wine helped it along fine.

Main : (Some word starting with A) , de Carnard Rotie Au Miel de Provence, Petit Gateau de Malt. Provencal Honey Roasted Duck fillet served with corn bread.Yummy. I did keep having flashes of the little ducks we used to have on our farm, but it tasted so good i got over it pretty quickly.

Dessert : Larme Aux Trois Chocolats, Creme Anglaise a la Vanille. THnk it translates to the best chocolate and vanilla mouse in the world.

Ok foods good, scenery is good. But to top it off on teh way home they play two english songs on the radio. Its a miracle. And these two songs were just so good. Right time, right place , right vibe. It went down so well, i thought my heart was going to burst with happiness, on the otherside it might have been my stomach sending those signals. Haha. ANyway. The First event was behind me, and the whole world infront of me. I am happy. I am free. And im going to spain tomorrow. He guys i put the lyrics to the songs on here coz i cant upload the actual songs, but do yourself a favour and go listen to these tunes.

Midnight Oill : Beds are burning
Out where the river broke
The bloodwood and the desert oak
Holden wrecks and boiling diesels
Steam in forty five degrees
The time has come
To say fairs fair
To pay the rent
To pay our share
The time has come
A facts a fact
It belongs to them
Lets give it back ...................
