From Noise to Nothingness , The Cathedral

After Les Rambles we moved into the smaller streets, getting lost in a maze of all sorts. After many more weird and wonderful, shops , buildings and people we arrived at the entrance of the Cathedral. At the time i was still completely ignorant to the world of Cathedrals… you know i come from Africa and all…

Well i was blown away. Its super noisy outside and everything is colourful and moving, i was actually just diizzy. Once we stepped inside i twas like stepping into space. Its a black hole into another universe. The energy inside this Place nearly nocked my breath away, being into energy work and chakra’s and all that type of stuff i appreciated this in a way that is hard to explain. I dont know much about Cathedrals, all i know is that it doesnt matter what you believe in, its impossible not to feel cleansed and protected inside the belly of this Mother.

We left there… and i felt completely spaced out, and refreshed. Went home and had a last dinner with Anna’s Parents and brother. We packed and got everything ready for an early departure the next morning. I did all my business online, discussing with my Parents what my next move was going to be….At that stage i had no idea what i was going to do until my departure to england…

I als o researched the cathedral… I think it was The Cathedral of Santa Eulàlia (also called La Seu), it is dedicated to Saint Eulalia of Barcelona, co-patron saint of the city , a young virgin who, according to Catholic tradition, suffered martyrdom during Roman times in Barcelona for her religeon.

Barcelona is a magnet for singers and lovers, dancers and dreamers , the religeous , the poets and the human sculptures. I don't know why ... or rather I do know why: You can feel why, you can wander through its streets and feel it in the air and then it's obvious, but what I can't do is explain it ... so I'll just stop trying. And Thus i bid my farewell to Barcelona…
